Connections

You'll find Wifi 5 inside the laptop, which is the previous generation. However, this does not mean its necessarily a major disadvantage. Wifi 5 is more than capable for the majority of the users, with only top tier users really requiring Wifi 6 at the moment.

Bluetooth is included, however it is Bluetooth 4 which is the previous generation. This won't stop most users, but ensure that anything you're planning on using is Bluetooth 4 compatible - which is should be.

It’s hard to recommend the Acer Chromebook 714 as it comes with a comparatively high price for a Chromebook, offering limited functionality and older hardware than its competitors. But then again, for those wanting a device with decent build quality, a good selection of ports and a Full HD display, this is still a decent budget laptop option.

It’s possibly one of the best value Chromebooks around, though: it undercuts the competition significantly, it’s got enough power to handle everyday workloads, and it has a sturdy, good-looking chassis and decent battery life. It’s a good-value middle ground between premium options and bargain-basement portables
