You'll find Wifi 6 inside the laptop, which is the current generation. This gives you a small step up in terms of future-proofing your tech, yet may not give you much of an advantage over wifi 5 unless your router and the rest of your setup is up to scratch.

With the latest standard of Bluetooth included, Bluetooth 5, you'll be set for a few more years of ensuring any new peripheral purchased is fully compatible.

The HP Elite Folio is a long-lasting, quiet laptop/tablet combo, but it offers a middling performance for a high price.

STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE
theverge.com

The primary reason the Elite Folio is able to command that premium price tag is its design. The entire chassis is wrapped in leather (vegan leather, per HP, so technically polyurethane), which will make you look like you’re carrying around a fancy notebook. It’s 2.9 pounds, but it feels lighter than it is to me, maybe because the leather cover makes it so comfortable to carry. The keyboard deck is a dark onyx color (matching the leather cover) with a nice, smooth texture; it’s not a fingerprint magnet, which black computers (even at this price point) often are. An included stylus lives in a silo below the chin, which charges when it’s not in use.

Too much style, not enough substance
itpro.com

The HP Elite Folio looks fantastic thanks to its vegan leather shell, and it impresses in other departments: its keyboard and battery life are both superb, its display is accurate and expansive, and it’s got all of that convertible movement. In too many areas, though, it doesn’t stack up. The ARM-based internals are fine for normal work, but faster rivals are easy to find. The screen is beaten elsewhere, HP’s machine is thicker and heavier than several competitors, and it has a meagre feature set. This laptop looks the part, but it doesn’t have the function to match its form. Unless you want a laptop with more style than substance, you’d be better off elsewhere.

The future of ultra-light convertible PCs should look like this

HP Elite Folio is a significant step forward for always-connected ARM-powered laptops. With an excellent display, keyboard, and superior 2-in-1 design, the Elite Folio is perfect for those who need light computing and an all-day battery. Just be wary of the high price.

Its clever folding design and faux-leather covering make HP's Elite Folio an alluring 4G or 5G traveler, but it's hard to justify an ARM rather than Intel/AMD Windows laptop at such a steep price.

A groundbreaking 2-in-1

The Elite Folio is a stylish, super-light convertible ideal for anyone who needs to run basic productivity and communication applications while on the go and is buying on the company tab or has deep pockets. With the 5G model with a 512GB SSD costing nearly £2,500, it’s hardly the most affordable option. The design is very clever and well executed and the build quality is impressive. The 16:10 display doesn’t let the side down, nor does the fine speaker system, while the cleverly housed stylus is a real bonus. And then there’s that battery life. I’ll forgive all the compromises of Windows-on-ARM for a 17-and-a-half-hour run time.

The HP Elite Folio has a lot to offer, but is it worth the expensive price tag?
toptenreviews.com

Great for business pros on the go thanks to its light weight, internet connectivity options, and long battery life, but performance is lacking for more power-hungry applications such as playing games or editing visual media. It is rather expensive and maybe not the best bang for your buck, but the HP Elite Folio is a really lovely 2-in-1 laptop if you’re not restricted by budget.
